GOHA Community Services Ltd is a Ugandan nonprofit organization focused on learning, practical skills, and community development.
The name GOHA reflects this purpose: locally rooted action, learning, and practical opportunities that help people and communities move forward.

A Local Organization within the Extended GoodHands Family

GOHA is closely connected with the GoodHands family of organizations. It was established by Sigmund Echtler, Founder and Board Chairman of GOHA and founder of the GoodHands organizations in the United States, together with the local team in Uganda.
This shared history connects GOHA with GoodHands and provides a practical foundation for bringing GoodHands learning resources and the Digital Learning Hub model into a local community setting.

Learning Hub and Facilitator Role

GOHA operates its own GoodHands Digital Learning Hub, providing a practical example of how community-based digital learning can be organized locally.
GOHA also serves as a local facilitator for interested small charitable organizations and other potential partners. It can provide informal guidance, share practical experience, and demonstrate how a GoodHands Digital Learning Hub can be established and operated with locally available resources.
This role can also serve as a model for other facilitator organizations that already work with networks of small charitable organizations and want to help them develop local learning opportunities.

A Model for Other Countries

GOHA demonstrates one way in which a locally rooted organization can become part of the wider GoodHands network while maintaining local leadership and responsibility.
The same approach could develop in other countries: local organizations, local Learning Hubs, practical facilitator roles, and shared experience within an international GoodHands network.
