Forum Access, Eligibility, and Public Visibility | Application, Verification, Public Listing, and Keeping Organization Information Current


The Public Mission Forum is a verified visibility space for locally active charitable and mission-driven initiatives. Forum participation is separate from the open Mission Outreach Network and from GoodHands Association membership. Organizations may remain connected through outreach without applying to the Forum, and Forum participation does not create membership, funding rights, Community Learning Hub status, or operational authority.
The Forum is not limited to organizations working in education or operating GoodHands learning activities. Suitable initiatives may work in one or more areas of direct community mission, including Education & Learning, Children & Youth, Women & Families, Health & Wellbeing, Food & Basic Needs, Community Development, and Disability & Inclusion. These Mission Areas are descriptive rather than restrictive categories, and an organization may work across several of them.
The purpose of Forum access is to make suitable local initiatives easier to understand and find through a consistent public structure. Entry therefore follows a simple but documented verification process. GoodHands checks whether the organization or initiative has a credible identity, active local presence, reliable contact information, and sufficiently accurate information for public presentation.
Verification is intentionally limited. It confirms baseline legitimacy and information reliability; it does not rate program quality, certify impact, endorse leadership, guarantee financial integrity, or compare one organization with another.

Who May Be Considered

•  Locally Active Charitable Initiatives — organizations or community-based groups with ongoing charitable, educational,
    social, protective, health-related, family-support, basic-needs, disability, or community-development activity.
•  NGOs and Community Organizations — registered organizations or clearly identifiable local initiatives with a stable
    mission purpose and responsible contact person.
•  Churches and Faith-Based Initiatives — where charitable or community-serving activities can be clearly distinguished
    and described.
•  Schools, Learning Initiatives, and Community Programs — where the activity has a clear public-benefit or charitable
    character and an identifiable local operating context.
•  Women, Youth, Health, Food, Disability, and Family-Support Initiatives — where there is identifiable ongoing
    community work, responsible local leadership, and sufficient information for reliable public presentation.
•  Other Suitable Frontline Organizations — where the mission, local activity, responsible contacts, and public information
    can be reasonably verified.
Forum eligibility does not depend on adopting GoodHands educational programs. If a Forum participant later wishes to explore Skills Learning, ESL, Community Learning Hub collaboration, or another GoodHands learning pathway, that is considered separately through mutual interest, practical readiness, and the relevant collaboration process.

Application and Initial Information | 1

Forum participation begins through direct contact or an invitation arising from GoodHands research, the Mission Outreach Network, a trusted introduction, or an existing collaboration relationship. A short initial description of the organization and its work is normally sufficient to begin the process.
GoodHands may request basic information such as the organization name, location, mission purpose, responsible contact person, public contact details, registration information where applicable, website or social media references where available, a short description of current activities, and selected images or supporting information suitable for public presentation.
The application process is not designed to create unnecessary administrative burden. The objective is to collect enough reliable information to establish identity, active presence, and a factual basis for Forum visibility.

Verification focuses on practical questions: Does the organization or initiative appear to exist? Is its charitable or mission-driven purpose reasonably clear? Is there evidence of current or recent local activity? Can responsible contact information be confirmed? Are the statements intended for public presentation plausible and sufficiently supported?
GoodHands may use available organizational documents, public information, direct communication, trusted introductions, photographs, existing websites or social accounts, and other reasonable sources to establish baseline confidence. The level of verification may differ according to the type of organization and the information available in its local context.
A verified Forum presence means that GoodHands has completed this baseline review. It must not be interpreted as a guarantee of future conduct, financial performance, program effectiveness, safeguarding quality, or the accuracy of every claim made outside the Forum.

Accepted initiatives are presented through a consistent factual structure so visitors can quickly understand who they are, where they work, what they do, and how they can be contacted. GoodHands may edit submitted wording for clarity, consistency, readability, and appropriate public presentation while preserving the organization’s actual mission and local identity.
Forum listings are not rankings and do not receive scores. Larger organizations do not receive higher status because of size, funding, or international recognition. The objective is understandable and dignified visibility within a shared public frame.
Where appropriate, a hosted GoodHands Micro Webpage may provide a fuller public presence for an organization that does not have an adequate website of its own. The separate Micro Webpages and Visibility section explains this support in more detail.
Verified Forum participants may also receive direct links to selected GoodHands guidance or participant resources relevant to their situation. Some of these resource pages may not appear in the public website navigation. A direct link provides practical access to the information but should not be interpreted as confidential or access-restricted unless GoodHands has separately established technical access controls.

Keeping Information Current | 4

Reliable visibility depends on reasonably current information. Forum participants are therefore expected to inform GoodHands when important public details change, such as contact persons, email addresses, organization status, location, mission description, or whether activities have ceased.
GoodHands may periodically request confirmation that a listed initiative remains active and that key information is still correct. If contact can no longer be established, information becomes materially inaccurate, or there are reasonable concerns about whether an initiative still meets basic Forum conditions, a listing may be corrected, paused, or removed.
This maintenance process protects the usefulness of the Forum without turning verification into ongoing supervision. GoodHands does not manage local activities or require routine performance reporting simply because an organization is publicly listed.

What Forum Verification Does — and Does Not — Mean | 5

•  It does confirm — a reasonable baseline of organizational identity, active presence, contact reliability, and factual
    information for public visibility.
•  It does not confirm — program quality, measurable impact, financial soundness, future conduct, or institutional
    endorsement by GoodHands.
•  It can strengthen — public visibility, web presence, reputation, communication capability, and access to appropriate
    GoodHands orientation, participant resources, or support pathways.
•  It does not create — Association membership, Hub Partner status, funding entitlement, Mission Patron support, or
    authority within the GoodHands network.
The Forum is strongest when verification remains understandable and proportionate: enough to protect public trust and information quality, but not so burdensome that credible small frontline organizations are excluded simply because they operate with limited administrative capacity.
